Asset Information Management System

Hi Data Team,

One of  our contract asked me to provide AIMS data but when I log in to EA Data Service I can only find the decommissioned version of it. The contractor needs the non-decommissioned one. Can you tell me where I can download it from?

Best regards,

Agnes

Hi Agnes,

The Asset information is available via the gallery on the DSP homepage:

https://environment.data.gov.uk/asset-management/index.html#

If you require the data in a CSV format please refer to the following FAQ:

https://support.environment.data.gov.uk/hc/en-gb/articles/360002275877-How-do-i-download-Asset-Management-Data-and-Information-as-CSV-

I hope this helps.

Thanks, Ella. It is not only to be able to browse the Asset Information but they want to show it on the maps they are producing for us. Is there any chance to download the data just the same way we could download it in csv file. Or do I have to replicate the lines and structures along the river copying it from your browser?

Best regards,

Agnes

Hello, Agnes and Ella,

I also am looking for GIS format shapefiles for the current AIMS data for a contractor.

I have found a "Spatial Flood Defences Including Standard Attributes" dataset but I am unsure if this is the same as the decommissioned AIMS dataset.

Best regards

Mark

The Spatial Flood Defences data only contains a sub-set of the information held in AIMS.  Far fewer attributes (e.g. condition grade, owner, etc) than the full database.

When we've needed AIMS data for projects and the Spatial Flood Defences layer wasn't sufficient, we're requested it directly from the EA

Adam,

Thanks for this information. I'll send the contractor the Spatial Flood Defences layer and see if its sufficient for a Level 1 SFRA

regards, Mark
