LIDAR data missing

Hi, I am downloading a number of LIDAR tiles (DTM 1m) and I am noticing that some of the data is missing and the levels drop to -999m. Is this a known issue? If so, is there a work around?

Hi Edward,

Thank you for your post, can you possibly provide more information on the exact locations of the tiles (OS grid reference) and the year of survey so we can investigate further?

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

I have noticed two areas where the LIDAR data is missing - approx. OS coordinates are below:

Wythenshawe, Manchester - 380770,387829

Glossop, Manchester - 397631, 394156.

FYI, we have tried all the files including DTM, DSM from all of the survey years available. The data is there in parts but there seems to be a large hole missing from the middle of the tiles.

Thanks,

Ed

HI Edward,

We have had a look at the data, the issue may be either because the DSM data we supply sometimes has no data where there is a water body. It also may be because we do not have full coverage in this area. If you could post a screenshot of what you are looking at then we can clarify. In the mean time you can take a look at the data index catalogue at the following link so you can view our coverage for your area of interest: https://environment.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=f765c2a97d644f08927d5cd5abe58d87 .

I hope this helps.
