Latest version of the Ecology and Fish Data Explorer is now available.

    Latest developments include:

    • Expanded data collection available in the Explorer and via the API. Transitional and Coastal water (TraC) Fish, TraC Phytoplankton and TraC Benthic Invertebrates data was added to the previously available freshwater fish, invertebrates, macrophytes and diatoms data.
    • Ability to select data based on outlines of Water Framework Directive (WFD) Operational Catchments, corresponding to those published on the Catchment Data Explorer.
    • Improvements and fixes to the API functionality.

Short video to guide users through changes introduced to the Explorer is available here: https://environment.data.gov.uk/datafiles/fd3cf86c1d794a578c9a0ef4e415610a

Supporting documentation for all available data can be accessed from the Documents section.

If you experience any issues with the new tool, please clear the cache in your browser before logging a fault. Short guidance on how to clear cache can be found in the DSP Customer Forum.

Users wishing to download data in bulk can use the Downloads pages, where latest published data is offered as zipped archives.

As always we would be grateful for your feedback about the tools we offer - let us know what you think!
